Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Tampung Penyang (IAHN-TP) Palangka Raya and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Central Kalimantan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday (12/8) at Kanwil Kemenag Central Kalimantan office. The agreement aims to strengthen the implementation of the Tri Dharma of higher education, improve the quality of education, and strengthen religious affairs in the province.
The signing ceremony was attended by Vice Rector I, Vice Rector III, Head of the Administration, Academic and Cooperation Bureau (AUAK), Dean of the Faculty of Dharma Sastra, Dean of the Faculty of Dharma Duta Brahma Widya (FDDBW), Acting Head of Kanwil Kemenag Central Kalimantan H. Hasan Basri, S.Ag., M.Ag., Head of Hindu Community Guidance Division, as well as other officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Rector of IAHN-TP, Dr. Mujiyono, S.Ag., M.Ag., in his remarks, stated that the MoU marks a strategic step in fostering interfaith cooperation to strengthen the Asta Protas of the Minister of Religious Affairs, in order to improve the welfare and faith of religious communities.
“This collaboration is expected to strengthen synergy in human resources and competencies, allowing higher education institutions to contribute more significantly to society,” he said.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of Kanwil Kemenag Central Kalimantan, H. Hasan Basri, expressed appreciation for the collaboration. He emphasized that the partnership between higher education institutions and the Ministry of Religious Affairs would promote synergy in education, research, community service, and the strengthening of religious moderation.
“We hope this cooperation will be in line with the Astacita of the Minister of Religious Affairs and serve as a platform for fostering a harmonious religious community,” he remarked.
With the signing of this MoU, both parties are committed to implementing joint programs aimed at improving the quality of education and religious life in Central Kalimantan.
