IAHNTPnews,- Institut Agama Negeri Tampung Penyang (IAHN-TP) Palangka Raya held the Opening Ceremony of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) Academic Year 2025/2026 at the Multipurpose Hall on Wednesday (13/8). This year’s event carried the theme “Building Excellent, Character-Driven, and Adaptive Students in Welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045.”
The event was attended by campus leadership and faculty leaders and was officially opened by the Rector of IAHN-TP, Dr. Mujiyono, S.Ag., M.Ag. In his remarks, he reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to becoming a center of excellence in Hindu studies with strong competitiveness, while remaining grounded in the values of Pancasila and the cultural heritage of Central Kalimantan.

“We provide facilitators to nurture a generation that is adaptive and excellent. The campus will continue to encourage, educate, and guide students to build good character. All new students are required to participate in PKKMB as a platform for mutual acquaintance, understanding both academic and non-academic character, and developing creativity. Every activity on campus needs to be publicized so that society can recognize the role of higher education institutions,” stated the Rector.
The President of the Student Executive Body (BEM) of IAHN-TP, Oksan Rahmadani, also delivered a motivational message to the new students. According to him, being a student is not merely a status but a journey to sharpen abilities and foster concern for the surrounding environment.

“Campus is our second home. Here, we do not only learn in class but also through organizations, student activity units, and various opportunities that serve as stepping stones toward the future. PKKMB is a starting point to understand the academic culture and institutional values. Let us be ready to learn, strive, and contribute, because society awaits and needs us,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the PKKMB Committee, Jhon Priyadi, reported that the program was attended by 263 new students and will take place over three days. The activities are designed to introduce and familiarize students with campus life, shape mindsets, attitudes, and responsibilities, as well as instill the noble values of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the spirit of tolerance in diversity.
Through the implementation of PKKMB, it is expected that the new students of IAHN-TP Palangka Raya will be well-prepared to embark on their academic journey with excellence, adaptability, and strong character in welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045. //mr//
