IAHNTPNews,– Following the public lecture held at the Multipurpose Hall of Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Tampung Penyang (IAHN-TP) Palangka Raya, on Wednesday (17/9), IAHN-TP Rector, Dr. Mujiyono, S.Ag., M.Ag., presented his authored work to the Governor of Central Kalimantan, H. Agustiar Sabran, S.I.Kom. The book, entitled Hindu Kaharingan Theology in the Rumah Betang, explores the spiritual, theological, and philosophical values embedded in the Rumah Betang concept as a symbol of unity, togetherness, and harmony within the Dayak community.
Through this work, Dr. Mujiyono expressed his hope that the book would serve as an academic contribution as well as an important reference for the people of Central Kalimantan in understanding Hindu Kaharingan teachings deeply rooted in local wisdom.
“I hope this book can be a useful reference not only for the academic world but also for all people of Central Kalimantan. The Rumah Betang symbolizes collective life, which we must continue to preserve and uphold,” the Rector stated.
Governor H. Agustiar Sabran expressed his appreciation for the scholarly work, emphasizing that the book plays an important role in enriching local literacy and strengthening young generations’ understanding of the noble values of Dayak culture.
The book handover reflects the concrete synergy between higher education institutions and the regional government in preserving and developing local wisdom heritage for future generations. //ay//
