IAHN-TP News,– The Faculty of Dharma Sastra (FDS), Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Tampung Penyang (IAHN-TP) Palangka Raya, conducted a Moot Court Practice on Tuesday (30/9). Under the theme “Through Moot Court Practice We Improve Students’ Legal Competence in Court Proceedings,” the activity was officially opened by the Rector of IAHN-TP Palangka Raya, Dr. Mujiyono, S.Ag., M.Ag.

Panji Untung, S.H., M.H., and Adv. Anwar Sanusi, S.H., CIL. as speakers in the event shared practical insights and experiences with students regarding court trial mechanisms.
In his opening remarks and committee report, the Dean of the Faculty of Dharma Sastra, Dr. I Made Kastama, S.H., M.H., emphasized that the Moot Court Practice is an essential step in enhancing students’ legal skills.
“This activity aims to provide students with firsthand experience in understanding judicial processes, even through simulation. Through this practice, students are trained to adapt to courtroom situations, draft indictments, develop public speaking skills, and think critically,” he explained.

Furthermore, Dr. I Made Kastama highlighted that the main objective of the activity is to prepare students to face the professional legal world.
“I hope this activity runs smoothly and brings significant benefits to Dharma Sastra students,” he concluded.
The Moot Court Practice was attended enthusiastically by 45 students from the Faculty of Dharma Sastra, IAHN-TP Palangka Raya. //Ay//
