IAHN-TP Palangka Raya Holds Community Service to Commemorate 80th Independence Day

IAHNTP news,- Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Tampung Penyang (IAHN-TP) Palangka Raya held a community service activity on Thursday (14/08) as part of the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

The activity began with remarks from the Rector of IAHN-TP Palangka Raya, Dr. Mujiyono, followed by remarks from the Chair of the 80th Independence Day Committee, Dr. I Made Kastama. In his address, the Rector stated that the community service was part of a series of Independence Day celebrations, carried out in accordance with Circular Letter of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 25 of 2025 on the Guidelines for the Commemoration of the 80th Independence Day within the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

“This community service is conducted to clean the environment, particularly the campus area, as a form of ecotheology—cleaning, preserving, planting, and nurturing trees. Let us all continue to love and protect nature together,” said Dr. Mujiyono.

Meanwhile, Chair of the 80th Independence Day Committee at IAHN-TP, Dr. I Made Kastama, stated that the series of activities commenced with environmental clean-up, morning exercise, and a healthy walk, which will be held in the days leading up to the peak commemoration on 17 August 2025.

The community service activity involved the entire academic community of IAHN-TP Palangka Raya, including staff, lecturers, and students. In addition to cleaning the campus area, participants also tended trees as a symbol of environmental care.

Through this activity, IAHN-TP Palangka Raya seeks to foster togetherness, strengthen the spirit of nationalism, and promote environmental awareness in welcoming the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence. //ay//
