IAHNTPnews,- Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Tampung Penyang (IAHN-TP) Palangka Raya held a public lecture featuring the Governor of Central Kalimantan, H. Agustiar Sabran, S.I.Kom., as the keynote speaker. The event took place at IAHN-TP Multipurpose Hall on Wednesday (17/9) under the theme “Synergy Between IAHN-TP Palangka Raya and the Regional Government of Central Kalimantan in Achieving One Dayak Graduate per Family.”

In his address, Governor Agustiar Sabran emphasized the importance of gratitude in everyday life. He stated that no matter how much wealth one possesses, life will never feel fulfilling without a sense of gratitude.
The Governor also shared plans for the renovation of IAHN-TP Palangka Raya facilities as part of his commitment to supporting higher education in the region. He underlined that education serves as a key instrument to break the cycle of poverty, particularly for communities in the interior of Central Kalimantan. To this end, he upholds the vision of “one family, one graduate,” ensuring that no child, especially from remote areas, is left behind in pursuing education. In support of this vision, the Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan has prepared scholarship programs for young generations.
In addition to providing motivation, Governor Agustiar engaged in a dialogue with IAHN-TP students, listening to their concerns and aspirations. He advised students to maintain a positive social environment and stay away from drugs, radicalism, alcohol, and promiscuity. “If you aspire to become a governor or pursue any dream, intention, determination, discipline, effort, and perseverance are essential, but never forget to pray,” he affirmed.
The public lecture served as an important moment for the IAHN-TP academic community to strengthen synergy with the regional government, particularly in supporting human resource development in Central Kalimantan. //mr//
