IAHN Tampung Penyang Presents International Visiting Lecturer, Strengthening Integration Insights through Global Diversity

The Dharma Sastra Faculty of IAHN Tampung Penyang Palangka Raya, once again demonstrated its commitment to improve academic quality by presenting an international guest lecturer from Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus (MBUISC), Thailand. The event, themed “Religion as a Pillar of National Integration within the Diversity of Global Cultures,” took place on Tuesday (31/3) in the Student Center Hall on the third floor.

The event featured two speakers, the Director of the Academic Services Center of Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus, Dr. Phrabhuddhivajiramedi and Mr. Niwattana Wannakam, a lecturer from Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus. Their presence provided valuable global perspectives for the academic community, particularly in understanding the role of religion as a pillar of integration amidst the world’s cultural diversity.

The event was officially opened by the Rector of IAHN Tampung Penyang, Palangka Raya, Dr. Mujiyono, S.Ag., M.Ag. In his remarks, he stated that the presence of international lecturers is a valuable opportunity to broaden one’s horizons, both academically and spiritually. “The opportunity to listen to lecturers from MBUISC is a valuable experience in improving the quality of human resources. The learning process is not limited to knowledge, but also strengthens insight and spirituality as provisions for carrying out life’s tasks,” he said.

During the presentation session, Dr. Phrabhuddhivajiramedi presented the topic “Living in the Dhamma,” emphasizing the importance of living a life based on dharma values. He also encouraged students to remain enthusiastic in their education.

He stated that at MBUISC, many young people still face limitations in accessing education. However, the university strives to provide various scholarship programs to support their continued education. “Not everyone has the opportunity to pursue higher education. Therefore, make the most of the opportunities available to learn and develop,” he advised the students.

Through this activity, IAHN Tampung Penyang Palangka Raya hopes to continue expanding its international network and improving the quality of education to be globally competitive, while strengthening the values ​​of tolerance and integration in community life.//mr.am.bn//
